Once that’s done, Taste & Toast will order the wine through their Retail partners nearest you.  You pay for the wine and pick it up.  Or for a delivery fee, you can choose to have Toast & Taste pick up and deliver the wine for you.

Parties can be as few as two or as many as you want.  For a special evening at home with your spouse, book a private chef to cook that anniversary or birthday dinner. Then, let Toast & Taste be your personal sommelier for the evening by pairing the perfect wine for each course and telling their story.  You’ll almost think you are in the vineyard!

Invite some friends to the house and choose a theme for the evening.  We’ll talk about them, learn about them, and most of all, have fun doing it.

When you call Lou, ask him about corporate events.  Toast & Taste does those, too!

If you want to do a wine pairing dinner, contact your favorite chef or caterer.  Toast & Taste will work closely with them to pair the perfect wines for the meal.  If you want, Toast & Taste offers a wine experience without food.  But we strongly suggest at least appetizers, at a minimum, to keep guests munching over the course of the tasting.

If, as the host, you choose to self-cater the event, Toast & Taste will work with you to pair wines with your menu or suggest cheese and charcuterie pairings for whichever Wine Experience you choose.

Yes! In collaboration with Marissa Wheeler, owner of Nashville-based confectioner Ode to Joy, we offer a wine and chocolate or wine and truffle tasting experience.  Lou and Marissa collaborate in your home or event space to taste and talk about chocolate and wine and the unparalleled marriage of the two.

Typically the tasting itself lasts between 90 minutes and two hours.  But the party goes on after that.  Once everyone arrives and settles in, the evening begins with a brief introduction and a glass of wine.  We spend about 10-15 minutes talking about the wine, the region, the grape and what makes it all so special.   If it’s a plated wine dinner, we talk about the pairing and why it works.  If it’s a more informal affair, we give everyone ample time to finish the wine we just talked about (typically 15-20 minutes) then move on to the next wine.  Tastings typically consist of four or five wines.  After the final wine is tasted, the remainder of the evening is purely social.  Lou typically stays a while to answer questions and chat with guests as your sommelier for the evening.

Most tasting consist of four to five wines

Yes.  You buy the wine.  You keep the wine.

For a wine tasting, we just need enough room to hold all of your guests.  Lou can even go room to room, if your party is too big to comfortably fit in one room of the house.  Unless you want something more formal that involves a sit down tasting, it’s typically quite informal.  Lou takes about ten minutes to talk about a wine, answers questions then give everyone 15 minutes or so to enjoy that wine, talk, socialize, then moves on to the next wine.

If you need glassware, you can rent glassware locally.  If you’d like, Toast & Taste can take care of it for you.  Ask about pricing.

Yes.  If you want Toast & Taste to choose the wines based on your criteria, I will have the nearest wine shop that we partner with order the wines for your party.  You will pay for the wines.  You can pick them up yourself or you can have Toast & Taste pick them up and deliver them for a separate fee.

If you choose the wines yourself, just buy them from your favorite shop and let me know what they are.  I will do the rest.

Some pay for the whole party and treat their guests to a great evening.  Others get there friends together, split the cost and have a great time.  Toast & Taste charges a $150 deposit to reserve the date and time slot.  In the event of a cancelation, the deposit is fully refundable up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled event.

If you are having a special dinner catered in, Toast & Taste will pair the wines based on that menu specific to your needs and the Toast & Taste Tasting Package that is right for you.  We will get your approval on the wines (unless you want it to be a surprise) and have a great time.
